Manufacturing Sputtering Technician

TRS Technologies is looking for a Sputtering Technician to join a growing production team. The successful candidate must be available for 1st or 3rd shift work and be capable of the following:

Duties:

  • Prepare deposition chamber for coating runs: load deposition materials
  • Perform incoming/outgoing quality control of work and record data as needed
  • Cleaning substrates per specific instructions prior to coating runs
  • Follow detailed instructions per lot specific travelers and record data as required
  • Use and maintain tooling as required for specific jobs
  • Maintain production records and document problems
  • Work in a cleanroom environment

Requirements:

  • Good communication, written and verbal
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Meticulous, attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently to complete tasks
  • Dexterity to handle delicate, small parts
  • Willingness to collaborate with engineers and management to eliminate failures and improve processes
  • Able to function in a changing environment

TRS is seeking a Precision Dicing and Backgrinding Machinist with experience in ceramic materials including but not limited to dicing, grinding, and CNC milling.

Duties will include manufacture of standard production and prototype parts following customer drawings or work instructions, data collection/record keeping, and routine PM of equipment used.

High School Diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years experience in machining.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer, TRS Technologies (State College, PA.)

Job Description:

TRS is expanding our engineering team. We are seeking forward thinking engineers who will define the next evolution of our processing expertise. The candidate will support ceramic machining and next generation development of zero touch manufacturing line.

You are responsible for:

  • Interact with production management and machinists to assure high quality, least cost processes are implemented
  • Serve as subject matter expert for CNC machining of custom ceramic products
  • Development and continuous improvement of programs, tooling, fixtures, and set ups
  • Define process control and preventative maintenance programs for ceramic machining value stream
  • Work with customers on part design to seamlessly introduce new products into our existing production floor without disruption
  • Assist in defining next generation processing solutions for our future state value streams, focusing on automated, non-contact processing solutions

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, other majors may be considered when coupled with demonstrated work experience
  • Tooling and fixture design
  • CNC programming
  • Emphasis on ceramic materials processing with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with MS Office is required
  • Effective interpersonal skills and communication are a MUST
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Job Title: Engineering Technician, TRS Technologies (State College, PA.)

Job Description:

TRS is expanding our engineering team. We are seeking a second shift technician capable of working with limited oversight to support our prototype engineering line. Experience is preferred; however we are willing to train and develop the right candidate.

You are responsible for:

  • Interact with engineers to define new processes supporting prototype orders
  • Program and run process/electrical test equipment
  • Write process documentation
  • Schedule/manage material through prototype line
  • Work with engineers on process developments to seamlessly introduce new products into our existing production floor without disruption

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with MS Office is required
  • Effective interpersonal skills and communication are a MUST
  • Ability to work independently to plan
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Technical writing
  • Precision grinding
