Job Title: Mechanical Engineer, TRS Technologies (State College, PA.)

Job Description:

TRS is expanding our engineering team. We are seeking forward thinking engineers who will define the next evolution of our processing expertise. The candidate will support ceramic machining and next generation development of zero touch manufacturing line.

You are responsible for:

  • Interact with production management and machinists to assure high quality, least cost processes are implemented
  • Serve as subject matter expert for CNC machining of custom ceramic products
  • Development and continuous improvement of programs, tooling, fixtures, and set ups
  • Define process control and preventative maintenance programs for ceramic machining value stream
  • Work with customers on part design to seamlessly introduce new products into our existing production floor without disruption
  • Assist in defining next generation processing solutions for our future state value streams, focusing on automated, non-contact processing solutions

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, other majors may be considered when coupled with demonstrated work experience
  • Tooling and fixture design
  • CNC programming
  • Emphasis on ceramic materials processing with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Experience with MS Office is required
  • Effective interpersonal skills and communication are a MUST
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Automation for manufacturing
  • 3D printing
  • Flex circuit design
  • Work history demonstrating knowledge of operations in manufacturing
